Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow...

We have been digging, shoveling and playing in the 26 inches of snow we received from the Blizzard of 2010!!! New Jersey was declared a state of emergency as most were unable to leave their doorways and driveways.  This is my third year now to enjoy the snow (and I still haven't tired of shoveling---well Alex does the bulk of it and I pretend to help!) For those of you back in Texas anytime you want to visit and help shovel there are plenty of takers...

The top picture was before we went to bed and the bottom picture was when we awoke to a white Christmas (eventhough it was one day late)  Notice how our back gate was almost covered!!!

Our side door was covered...

We weren't driving anywhere...

Our four legged kids played until their paws were frozen...

It is so hard to believe Christmas has come and gone in a blink of an eye.  Where did the year go? 2010 was a great one and perhaps 2011 will surpass it....

Six Months...

ago yesterday I married my best friend, the guy who puts up with me (that should be enough), the carpenter, the most motivated person I know and an all around good guy!!! I am lucky enough to call him my husband...

I couldn't have done it all without these TEXAS girls...

and of course our brothers...

for a BIG THANK YOU!!!

Gobble Gobble Gobble

After our girls trip we came home to have our

 First Annual Thanksgiving Feast

with 20+ friends on Sunday to coincide with football!!! We had enough food to actually feed a football team...

 Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of our actual food besides Alex cutting the turkey...

 (still complexing to me that I don't have any pics of our food)

We also celebrated Thanksgiving with Alex's family on Thursday...

Washington DC

The day after Thanksgiving my "Jersey Girls" and I took a quick trip (meaning one night) to DC to take in the sights and sounds it had to offer...We did alot of shopping, eating, goofing around and admiring all the architecture which we had no clue what we were looking at...

Before we embarked on our walk we made a toast that we finally made it--no thanks to Carolyn
